About Saoirse Morrigan

Hi! I am an Irish author from Co. Armagh. 

When I am not world-building or wrangling my family, I'm probably reading or on Instagram, usually with a cup of tea. I read in all formats but over the last few years I find that I usually only read books with a romantic thread. 

I started writing as way to find myself again after my third child because somewhere between becoming a grown up, wife and parent I lost myself.  I haven't looked back. I am now agented and seeing behind the curtain of publishing has been fascinating. 

In 2025 I was awarded the prestigious Cill Rialaig Residency and I can't believe I will be spending 10 days in a cottage by myself on the coast of the Atlantic just writing. My husband is really supportive of this which makes it easier!

 I love sharing my journey and helping other writers navigate publishing – an industry that is not the most transparent. I signed with my agent last year and it has been a whirlwind. 

I am  on the Board of Directors of the Romantic Novelists’ Association; an organisation that has helped me learn so much about the craft of writing and the publishing industry.
